Black Friday Ads - Cricut Lites

Those of you who really know me, know that I am addicted to all things scrapbook related. :-) Yep, it's a fact...I have an entire room dedicated to this wonderful, memory craft. Sooooo, when Joy at Obsessed with Scrapbooking put up a giveaway, I just HAD to jump in. :-)

Joy's post features the new Cricut Lite cartridges. These new babies will be up for grabs on black Friday at Wal-Mart! I'm sure I'll be out at midnight on black Friday with all of the other crazed scrapbookers to try and snatch a few cartridges. I just hope I come home with both hands attached! Be sure and stop by Joy's blog to get a peek at the new cartridges!

Two By Two

Max likes to play with his breakfast cereal. On this day, he was stacking his Honey-Nut Cheerios in little rows...two by two.
These are the sweet little moments I want to remember....

Halloween / Trunk-or-Treat

Treat bags Claire and I made for her class:

The costumes:

We recycled some of Emily's previous costumes for Allyson and Claire -a detective, and an artist. Mr. Max was a handsome king. Oh an Emily? She was just a teen! :-)

Halloween has come and gone...a fun time was had by all. Our kids have never done the "house to house" kind of trick-or-treating...it's more like "cubicle to cubicle". We have always taken the kids to daddy's office where they walk the hallways and are given way too much candy from all of the staff. It's a huge event every year with hundreds of kids.

All of that candy-filled fun is followed by trunk-or-treat at church. We have participated in this event for many years...don't even remember the last time we gave out candy from home! It's a wonderful way to reach out to the community. This year, we had over 4,000 people come through!!

We waited too long to work on our trunk display, and couldn't think of anything really creative. At the last minute, I thought of something the event organizer had said during church - that we should get "plugged in" to trunk-or-treat...so I went with that theme! We made a giant outlet and plug, then added signage and some lightning bolts. It was simple, yet effective! We even won a prize in the creative category!! :-)

And these are a few of the other displays:

Honor Society

Emily was inducted into the National Jr. Honor Society last week. This was her second year in a row for this honor (often difficult to achieve since they require so many points for extra-curricular activities). We are proud of our girl. ;-)
